Doesn't Represent Westin Well

The Hotel was dissapointing, Aruba was fantastic. The staff was great, but I wouldn't choose to stay in this hotel again. I've stayed at many Westins and Starwood properties, this was not up to par. Visit Aruba! but stay somewhere else.

Nice girls' getaway

We had friends staying at The Riu in Aruba so a girlfriend and I booked a fairly last minute trip through CheapCarribean.com to The Westin. Our package cost was amazing (we did not do the american inclusive plan) – our flights were timed well, the shuttle bus was prompt, check-in was simple. The Westin is right on the beach and next to the much pricier Riu Palace. I thought the Westin pool was prettier and it was certainly quieter. The Riu was a loud pool atmosphere and their beach was packed. The Westin's beach had fewer people and more space between the beach chairs. Our room had a beautiful view of the pool and a partial ocean view with a balcony. We had Starbucks in the room so we just made coffee and ate breakfast bars in the AM – saved a lot of money that way.

Relaxing in Luxury

My wife and I stayed at the Westin Aruba for 7 days during September. The pool and beach were top notch with big umbrellas, comfortable chairs and a towel service. There were many different restaurants available within the Resort with many more within walking distance. The room had the BEST view of the ocean and was extremely comfortable and modern. The staff were super friendly and accomodating as well. Of note, the pool at the Westin was closed for repairs a few days into our stay but the Westin arranged for it's guests to use the pool at the resort across the street along with a free drink for each guest per day while they were there. I have recommended the Westin Aruba to many of our family and friends and have actually thought about going back one day. Don't hesitate to book!

Aruba Westin

We loved the Westin in Aruba. We found it to have the nicest beach there. The room had a great view of the beach and sunset. The hotel had a bottle of Champagne sent to our room for out 10th anniversary as a surprise. The food was excellent. They had a full breakfast buffet with an omelette station! Cheap Caribbean was an excellent source and the price matched and beat the rest.

The Greatest vacation Ever.

Hi Reader, My mother and I was schedule to vacation in Aruba in April of 2009. When my grandmother got sick the day before the trip. We had to cancelled the trip and we sure did not have insurance so we got a partial refund but it was worth it because we stay by my grandmother's bedside for two weeks and until she recovered. I was determined to vacation in Aruba because of all the wonderful reviews i got back from my friends that went their on vacation. So, I surprise my mother in November 2009 and book the trip for a week. We stayed at Westin and we had the greatest vacation ever. Everyone in the Westin hotel were Friendly and courteous. They went above and beyond to help us enjoy our vacation. Aruba is one island that you must visit because it is paradise. It was a unique and mind blowing island experienced, that i recommend everyone to experience in their lifetime. Also, I definitely recommend a stay at the Westin Hotel.

2nd time back

I go on 3-4 trips ayear and Aruba is one of my favorites. I feel a lot safer there than a place like Fl. or Mexico. Aruba built up the Palm Beach section nice since I have been there. Plenty of great restuarants golf is better, always great weather. Westin is very comfortable, clean and good location. Beach can get crowded certain times of year. Will definitly go back

Best Vacation Ever

We loved the Westin and Aruba. The hotel is beautiful and located near lots of great restaurants. The beach is beautiful and there is an artificial reef right there so bring your snokel gear with you! We will definitely return and we will stay at the Westin again - the sunsets over the water from our balconly each night were fabulous!

Westin-not

We were disappointed with the Westin. Have stayed at other resorts in Aruba and prefer them. Westin grounds were ok, beach small, lobby- while nice felt like you could have been in any hotel anywhere. Not a beach/tropical feeling at all. Our room was dark and cavelike. Even the colors and linen were not reflective of the area. We will use Cheap Caribbean again and most definitely go back to Aruba but not the Westin.

Just Average

Aruba was delightful. The Westin was just average but a pretty good value for the price. The pool area was very nice, but we literally couldn't lay on the beach because sand blows pretty aggressively on your face, We were told by frequent travelers that the hotel is situated on the windiest spot on the island. Dining at the Westin was unimpressive so we left the hotel for dinners and found some really wonderful spots. No major complaints, but I will probably try a different hotel on my next trip to Aruba.
