The Villa Del Palmar in Nuevo Vallarta is an inviting destination resort. Well maintained, nicely appointed and full of great options for recreation, relaxing and dining. The staff is professional and attentive and the Spa is one of the best we've ever tried. One of the highlights of our stay was to witness the creativity and enthusiasm of the staff in staging specially themed events. We were there over Thanksgiving week and they had several "special" days of celebration. Imagine an opulent buffet dinner served on the beach with live entertainment! Although it's not the place we usually stay in Nuevo Vallarta, we would not hesitate to return. j.r.t. / a.j.t.
This resort was amazing! First, they use a water filtration system so all of the food is totally fine to eat with no concerns about being washed in the water. The rooms are amazing, I highly recommend the 1-bedroom suite. Tile covers everything and marble is everywhere! We didn't even get around to using the jacuzzi in the room because there was so much else to do. The wait staff was amazing, especially our waiter--Conrado. If you go to Flamingos, get him--he is amazing. We just tipped him 100 pesos in the morning and he treated us like royalty! The staff was excellent and took care of our every need. The only thing we did not like is the pressure for timeshare ownership. Although we only did get hit with 4-5 pitches, it was all within the first few hours of landing, so overall it wasn't bad. Plus, when you are on the beach, the guys that are trying to sell jewelry, hats and dresses are a little annoying, but it isn't that bad. Book your excursions before you go for big savings and it's nice to have an idea of what you are doing for your trip so you don't buy the trips from the guys walking around on the beach trying to sell them to you. Absolutely go to this resort, you will never regret it!
