The resort was very comfortable and very clean. The room furnishings were very nice. The resort was not over-crowded and the staff were extremely helpful. The grounds were so lush and well manicured. Restaurants were in close proximity and were easily accessed by taking a short walk. Casablanca casino was nearby and surprisingly it was paying out pretty well. The resort was across the street from a national park where the beach was also located. I will definitely come back to vacation at this resort. This was one of my very best vacations and if you ever visit Provo...choose this resort. Love it, love it!
Just returned from a trip to Provo, Turks and Caicos. Stayed at Villa Del Mar...not exactly on the beach but a very short (and beautiful) walk. Comfy room, very pleasant staff, cocktails at the pool, poolside breakfast (nothing fancy but just enough), beautiful grounds, close to the beach, downtown area, and a short taxi ride away from other island activities. It really was a nice hotel and lovely trip. The only problem was that I wished I had booked us for longer! Kudos to the beachfront staff, reception, Bill the bartender and the room service staff for their work in making this a top notch vacation. I am already planning a trip back.
We booked this trip and had an excellent time. The rooms were great and we had a comfortable stay. Grace bay beach is beautiful. We were able to walk to many fantastic restaurants and shops in Provodentiales. Also there was a food shopping close by and we were able to fill our refrridgerator with food and drink, Also walking to the shops and restaurants was easy and enjoyable. Chef Nik at Crackpot Kitchen was well worth the walk and money.
Had a wonderful time, would go there again. Do recommend renting a car to get around. Beach is absolutely amazing.
The resort was actually in the perfect location which we did not realize until after we got down there. Most of the places we used to do activities through were right around the corner as was the super market. the continental breakfast was the perfect basic breakfast- make sure you try the banana bread. and if you wanted a more substantial you can walk across the street to the resort on the beach. there is not a restaurant on site but you can easily access various hotel restaurants across the street as well as by walking down the beach. You do have to walk through the other hotel to get to the beach but I have had to walk further to get to the beach while staying at other properties that are beach front. The rooms were great especially the two bedroom ones because they were more like a condo or apartment. I would definitely stay here again
We stayed from 10/23-10/27 2017. The hotel is still doing repairs from the hurricane. Everyday we came back to the room, there were workers working. From painting stairwells, to still getting rooms ready, to lanndscaping. This hotel is in a good location. Personally I wouldn’t recommend walking, get a rent a car. The grocery store is not as close as others say it is. And if u do walk to the store, you still have to carry back whatever you buy. The beach is a short 5 min walk away. The surrounding resorts are still under construction. So if your looking for peace and relaxation, do not come here. There is constant banging and normal construction sounds throughout the entire island. Especially in and around the Villa Del Mar. The morning Front Desk lady that drives the Lexus Truck, is not very personable or nice. The evening lady is extremely helpful and nice. She went out of her way several times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Christine is by far the best maid I ever had. The bar is small, and basic. The hot tub gets Luke warm at Best. And most of the other suites are still in bad condition from the hurricane. U can clearly see all of the furniture in a pile through the windows. Other than that I wish I wouldn’t have been cheap, but overall I still had a great time. You know what they say you get what you pay for. But on another note the ACTUAL room was VERY NICE. No complaints there. Only thing is the hotel seemed to re open prematurely and there is no place to eat at the resort. The free breakfast was a joke.
