St Kitts 2011

My family and I just returned from an 8day stay at this resort and we fell in love with the people, the resort and the island in general. There are some flaws that need to be ironed out at the Marriott, but our overall experience was top-notch. We've been to inclusive resorts in Mexico, Aruba, the D.R. and St Lucia, but this was the best we've been to overall. The food was unmatched for quality, taste, originality and perfect portion sizing. This resort has you sign for every purchase instead of the norm of wearing wrist bands, but in the end we did not incur and extra charges. The bar rules of not allowing any mixed drink with 3 or more different liquors to inclusive people was annoying, but there were enough choices to have a great time. The liquor is watered down at so many inclusive resorts, but not here. Top notch liquor is available at full strength. The gym was the best I've encountered. The beach was ok, the water is rough and there is a lot of seaweed, but the three pools are great. The only real complaint we had was the lack of entertainment. In the DR and Mexico, they entertain you all day long, not here. Luckily there is enough to do on the island to keep you busy and in awe of the beauty that is St Kitts and Nevis. We are already trying to figure out when we are going back.

St Kitts Marriot Resort Review

We got more that our money's worth at this resort. The all-inclusive is the only way to go, as food prices are steep. The rooms were great, the dining, especially at Blue, was fantastic. And the beach, well, the water was gin clear. I'll definitely go back. The worst part was flying American Airlines. Cancellations and lost luggage combined with apathetic service caused us to lose basically two days of our trip. They also lost our luggage on the way back. No more flying with AA, ever.If you have a choice, don't fly AA to St Kitts.

Disapointment

Average service, high prices. They have closed the Main pool w/o any prior notice, we just found a letter the same morning where the management told us theat the main pool will be closed due to a leak issue . If the pool was open the water was not very clean. Leafs, sand etc. from the night before where still in the pool at 11am. They started cleaning approx.11:00am. Part of the beach was "under construction", the Italian restaurant was under construction, etc. The beach was covered with sea-gras and it was no fun to go swiming. Nobody felt being responsible for cleaning at least a part of the beach!!!

St Kitts

We went in the summer during low season for 1 week with all-inclusive package with our 2 children. Food was excellent and the all-inclusive package was definitely worth it. Rooms were typical Marriott - comfortable, clean, not super luxurious. Not much to do at the resort after dinner. The pools were large and the beach was clean and the ocean water was clear. Since it was low season, the resort was not crowded at all. Service was at times slow and the staff could have been more friendly.

What a blast!!!!

just got back from our stay at St. Kitts and St. Croix......St. Kitts was awesome. The hotel was a class of its own! ! from checking in until checking out....the staff, the cuisines, rooms, etc....was top notch!!! we upgraded to the 5th floor suites ....it was amassing!!! the oceanview was breath taking. the room was unbelievable beautiful. the decor luxurious..... I have to say though the beach was not so great beacause of the hurricane but the pools were great. food was so delicious!!! I recommend the atv tours...see Ivan ....he was the best tour guide!!! I say we had our lunch from the trees and anything that grew in the fields ....sugar cane, mango, bread fruit....u name it we all ate!!! talk about organic! !! it was delicious!!! we met the nicest locals there and the bar/ restaurant owners who we became great friends now. please visit club Twist with great international cuisines...great music drinks and atmosphere ...the owner is Sonny!!! don't forget Avi from Diamond Island!!!! best jeweler and extremely knowledgable. not to mention his best prices!!! by far! !! please see Nash and Seema at India blu ....awesome Indian food I recommend Marriott!!! We already making plans to come back! !!!

St Kitts Marriott-Escape All-Inclusive

Have been to this spectacular resort many times, however this is the first time I had chosen an all-inclusive package. Would highly recommend this to all who travel. The food at the restaurants was great, the room was nice, and the staff was very courteous and accomodating. The only bad part was that the pool bar and restaurant were under construction, so happy hour was not happening. All in all I will try to book this vacation again next year as an all-inclusive if the price is right!! I lived on St Kitts for 2 years and went to vet school there in the early 90's. The marriott has brought so much to the island.
