My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway before we had our first child and we had heard great things about Turks and Caicos. I did a bunch of research on different resorts and first, couldn't come up with a better priced package than what I found on Cheap Caribbean. Secondly, everything we read about Seven Stars was very positive, and I would say we loved our experience there. It is a great spot with a great beach and a wonderful staff. My wife and I went up and down the beach and biked around and looked at all the resorts and I will admit we were more impressed by Seven Stars on a number of fronts. First, security at Seven Stars was much better, the pool areas was much better, and the grounds were very well maintained compared to everything else we saw. we tended to try and eat out at night and try different restaurants, so I can't comment on dinner, but the continental breakfast served us well and lunch was great too. On top of it all, there is a grocery store across the street in the event you wanted to stock your kitchenette, which was a great amenity. Also, the resort is very mellow and quiet and was perfect for just kicking back and putting your feet up. The rooms were perfect and I would recommend an ocean view, which you may get in an upgrade upon arrival, but it definitely made our day. The bathtub has a beach view!! Anyhow, all around a wonderful place and great time and we have recommended it to everyone we know.
Beautiful beach--can walk for miles--and beautiful facility. Rooms are very attractive and comfortable. Continental breakfast was a great bonus--needed a little variation from day-to-day. Dining was a little expensive compared to other places however quality/presentation were great. There are many options nearby and you really need to try Da Conch Shack for a taste of local fare. Also, very good grocery store 2 blocks away for snacks/light lunch in their deli or for your suite. Half-day snorkel/conch dive/iguana view trip was excelllent and reasonablly priced. Would highly recommend this facility especially in view of its easy accessibility from the eastern US.
The Seven Stars Resort in Turks and Caicos was the perfect getaway. Quiet and secluded and not too crowded. The perfect vacation.
Our overall experience at SS was excellent. The grounds, rooms, pool, restaurants (Seven) and pool / beach bars were nice. We especially loved the service, view and atmosphere at the beach bar in early evening. The staff was extremely friendly and accomadating to all our needs. The front desk service was only so / so - not all that helpful in recommendations for restaurants outside the resort (but other guests/friends were helpful). We did have a few mistakes made on our room / bill that we are still trying to work out. Overall, we would recommend SS and plan to visit again.
Believe all the good reviews you may have read about the 7 stars. The room was the best one I ever stayed in, the pool was amazing and you can't believe the beach until you are there. I was a little disapointed about the restaurant service: forgot the glass of wine we asked for, left the bread on the table during dessert and never brought the spoons and forks for dessert... There were only 4 tables taken at that time... The deck and the Sand Dollar are great options to dine or have lunch, but be aware, with the taxes and service, it gets expensive. Outside the hotel, we had a really good dinner (and a great Sancerre) at Cafe Caicos. The supermarket accross the hotel has everything you usually see in any US supermarket. Finally, I do recommend you take the half or whole day boat tour with Robert and his cousin (can't remember his name). Ask at the concierge about it.
Just loved the Seven Stars!!!! Beautiful setting on a white sandy beach with crystal clear water. This resort has all the amenities available pretty much right at you finger tips. You are in very close walking distance to various shops and dining establishments and if you want to go further the staff is there to assist you in anything you could want. The grocery store is no more than 2-3 blocks from the resort. All the water sports are right on the beach. We parasailed while there and you don't have to go to a specific dock, just walk on the beach and talk to the men at the cabana they call for the boat and it picks you up right there at your designated time. Enjoyed the largest salt water pool and the attentive pool attendants that served free smoothies, and water at the pool and beach. The Sand Dollar served very good lunches and fabulous Rum Punch! All I can say is this is a wonderful resort and island! If you can go stay at the Seven Stars....
Me and my wife just got back after spending a week at the seven stars resort. The resort grounds are extremely well kept, the rooms clean and the service was pretty good as well. All the staff members were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The location of the hotel is also perfect. You're within walking distance of some nice shopping centers and many of the top restaurants. If I had to say there was a negative it would be the lack of activities and nightlife. They do offer 2 snorkel trips and use of their hobie cats and had live music a couple of nights but only from 7 to 9. But the lack of nightlife isn't limited to this hotel it seems the whole island goes to sleep once the sunsets. If your looking for a layed back vacation with incredible beaches and great food then I highly recommend the seven stars resort. Just be prepared to turn in early.
Beautiful tropical paradise. Great place to relax and enjoy the sun and ocean. If your looking to get away from the everyday stress and grid of your daily life, then look no further.
We received a warm welcome at the hotel which included a cold and refreshing drink. The personnel were very friendly and accommodating, especially Allen, the manager of the restaurant. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. The service is outstanding. We rented a car and learned to observe British driving rules. Instead of "yield right of way" the sign said "give way." Also visited the Conch farm and had an amazing tour and lesson on the life of the Conch.
We've been to several Caribbean islands and if it is pristine beach and turquoise water you are looking for, this is your spot. The accomodations at Seven Stars are top notch. Our room was beautiful and the resort was very clean. Watching the sunset from our balcony was just wonderful. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We did, however have a disappointing fine dining experience, While the appetizers were superb, the main course was awful. The waiter brought the dishes to the table and never returned. I flagged down a bus boy and requested a sauce in an attempt to salvage a very expenisve meal. After 30 minutes and still no watier to check and see if our meal was ok, we left. To add to the negative experience, I requested the cost of the main entree be deducted from our dining bill and it took 2 different attempts and unfriendly treatment from the staff to get it accomplished. Not even an apology... Overall, the lodging was one of the best places we've ever stayed. We had some wonderful meals ...off the property.
