We went to Secrets Silversands in May 2009. We enjoyed absolutely fabulous service, endless food and drinks and the amazing pools. My husband travels weekly for work, always staying at 5 star hotels stateside and dines daily at 5 star restaraunts -- and the service and cleanliness pleased even him! Our one dissatisfaction was that they had a limited number of their restatraunts open, so the seletion was minimal. We were told this was due to low occupancy (thanks to the swine flu!). If that was the truth, we were ok with it because we frequently had the beach or pools to ourselves. It's been hard to find another resort that interests us after this one was so perfect!
This was an excellent property to stay at. All the restaurants served excellent food. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a fabulous week. It was our first time with an all inclusive, and we definately would visit this resort again, or some of your other resorts. The service was fantastic, your room was fabulous, and the pool and surrounding ares was beautifully kept. We only have one complaint. The dress code for dinner said that the men had to wear long pants. Some wore ratty levis and we think that nice dress shorts should be more acceptable than levis. All in all , we had a fabulous time.
Our trip to Silversands was our first all inclusive and it could not have been any better. The staff were wonderful & always available for your every need. The resort provides all your needs-even sunscreen is provided in your rooms. The idea of being able to reach into the fridge and have what drink is there without the thought of how much is this going to cost is probably the hardest because we are so used to having to pay for the extras but not here. This is the perfect get away for those who have children & want to really get away-no noise of youngsters! I have recommended the resort to friends and in fact they just got back about a month ago and also loved it. So my first time for a lenght of time stay was memorable. We would not hesitate to go back
We went here on our honeymoon. It was a great place for this vacation- and being adults only helped greatly. There were alot of options for food, however the same items were offered at each restaurant, just prepared differently. The room service was great, they even came and restocked our minbar twice upon request! The drinks are good, not very strong, but unlimited! I would go back again!
well, it's quite slow and too peaceful for a middle age couple like me...place is nice but to slow.......
My husband booked this trip for my 30th birthday....we got an excellent deal through Cheap Caribbean and couldn't turn it down. We were surrounded by honeymooners and other couples celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, it was a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. It was the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at, the rooms were spacious, very clean and private. The restaurants were amazing, we tried four of the restaurants, each one was excellent, between the ambience, the waitstaff and especially the food...the mediterranean restaurant was AWESOME. The 24 hour room service was very handy if we wanted to eat in bed or get a late night snack. The staff was very friendly and did their best to make everyone enjoy themselves from morning to night. The beach wasn't the greatest, but it was still nice to take walks on, relax or play volleyball. The pools were neverending, between the large pool, to the smaller more private ones, whatever you were in the mood for, they had. They had ample opportunities to head into Cancun or go on daily excursions, we mainly wanted to relax but we did go snorkeling, which was a fun adventure. My husband won the ping pong tournament two days in a row and in turn we won two gift cetificates to the spa. For my birthday, the staff placed a cake in our room and a Happy Birthday message, which made me feel special. The nightly entertainment wasn't the greatest, but with all their was to do during the day, it was nice to just relax at the bar and have some cocktails in the evenings. We definitely recommend it 100%, you will get a great vacation for the money you spend. Secrets is the way to go and from now on we will travel to Secrets hotels, because we know we will have a great experience.
The big decisions are: Pool or Beach; Pina Colada or Margarita? The Secrets Siversands Riviera Cancun provides the easiest vacation in the world! The staff are excellent and the restaurant choices are many.
I felt that the Silversands had an incredibly nice premises, with many activities included. The pools and service were top-notch. Beach wasn't great due to some rough areas just a few yards into the water. The dining also could have been much better. Other than that, the stay at Silversands was amazing.
