went to secrets maroma when they first opened up. since this was the case we got a great price. the beach is amazing, the rooms are great, and the service is excellent. the staff really went out of their way to make sure you were taken care of, with food or drinks, or just about any request that you had. room service was also very fast no matter what time you ordered. the only thing that I cannot rate was all the resturants as we had just went when the place open up, so all places to eat were not up and running. however the places that were, i have no complaints towards. would definitly return.
This was one of the BEST beaches we have ever been on. We are 'beach' people and it is one of the features we look for when booking a trip. Unbelievable white sand, calm water with a small surf, and absolutely not one rock in sight. We have been to other properties along the Riviera Maya and some of the beaches have rocky entrances. Great quiet beach bar, as well. Service excellent on the beach, as well as throughout the entire resort. Everyone bent over backwards to please. Great pool area and the food/grills around the pool was excellent. Room service was great as were the rooms. Only drawback was there were no bottles of alchol in the rooms, nor were they provided. If you want a cocktail in your room, you must order from room service, they deliver 24 hours. Considering we were there off season, the nightlife was ok with music if you wanted it and shows and vendors. All the restaurants had some of the best food we have had in Mexico. Honestly, we cannot say one bad thing about this resort. Everything was perfect. Beach, service, food, romance, it's all there. We would definately return and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway with a fabulous beach and 5 star service!
If you're craving a retreat from reality, Secrets Maroma Beach will take you to a world of pampered luxury - complete with beautifully appointed rooms, deliciously divine cuisine, pristine ocean views, and the option of a personal swimout suite. My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at this resort just after it opened, and we were both impressed with it's 5-Star offerings. I'd done my homework, so I expected it to be nice, but I was blown away by it's casual elegance, natural beauty, hospitality, and all the aforementioned sensory delights. The only disappointment was that their world-class Spa was not open yet. We'd actually chosen this resort over others, based on the description of what must be one of the best resort Spas ever built. (I have fibromyalgia, and my hubby was getting over a back injury - so the thought of daily whirlpool baths was especially blissful for us.) Naturally, we were pretty bummed to learn it was still under construction. To their credit, the staff provided us with a day pass to their sister property's Spa, and Cheap Caribbean even offered us a small discount on a future reservation. - But given the current economy, we will have to settle for our wonderful memories of this magical place. I would definitely recommend it to others. The resort is absolutely amazing, as is the Cancun Riviera in general, with it's white sand beaches, turqouise ocean, and breathtaking Mayan ruins. It doesn't get much better than this!
This place was sooo wonderful and the beaches were stunning.. The service was top notch and the food was equally great.. Go There ASAP
My husband and I went to Secrets Maroma Beach for our Honeymoon it was amazing we had the best time. The service was wonderful the room was amazing. We rarely want to go back to a destination as there are so many we want to see but we would go back to this resort!
I would go again.Beautiful Beach and Beautiful Resort.
Very surprise with the service received. I am glad we had a chance to enjoy the resort and spent a wonderful time in the resort itself. Quality entertainment and activities. There is no need to leave the facilites since the foods and services are great.
We stayed at Secret Maroma only during part of our anniversary trip. Prior to booking, we had read some negative reviews about the resort via another travel website. We weren't too keen at staying there at first, but thought we should give it a try anyway....and we were SO glad that we did! The resort was beautiful, food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the beach was breaktaking! We stayed at the Junior Suite, Swim-out, and it was fabulous!!! If we could've changed our reservation, we would've spent our whole vacation at Secrets Maroma - that was the one big regret we had about the vacation. Don't believe all the negative reviews you read about this heavenly place. We are hard to please, and Secrets Maroma more than delivered what they promised. We are truly impressed, and can't wait to go back someday. Secrets Maroma also is special to us as that was where we found out that we were going to have our miracle baby boy, who has just turned 1 two weeks ago. Discover your own beautiful and special moments in Secrets Maroma, we did!
My husband and I stayed at the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun in October of 2008. We booked our trip through Cheap Caribbean. It was raining when we arrived and it rained for the entire 10 days of our stay. That being said, if we had to be "held hostage" by the inclement weather, we were lucky to be staying at Secrets Maroma. The hotel had wonderful music in the hangar-sized lobby every day as well as live entertainment and we spent many hours there enjoying cocktails and the best repertoire of Mexican music ever assembled. The concierge even went to the trouble of making us a CD of the 101 best Mexican romantic "boleros" as a souvenir! Big baskets of umbrellas were made available to us at every turn as we ran between the raindrops from one building to another. Our room was exquisite, from the decor, the view, the giant bathtub, to the 24 hr. room service with its ample menu. The bath products were of the best quality. Normally, this vacation would have been a total disaster given that we barely saw the sun, but the staff at Secrets Maroma made every effort to make our stay memorable. The food was tasty and had enough variety to never become redundant. The international buffet was a great way to begin the day and the other upscale restaurants provided some nice gourmet selections. My husband made the most of the fully equipped gym and I made several trips to the lovely spa. My only complaint was that the water in the two jacuzzis was always lukewarm. We plan to try the other Secrets properties in both Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Balina, New York City
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Secrets Maroma Beach. It was our first all-inclusive experience and it did not disappoint. For our July visit, the swim-up room was our favorite feature. We love traveling to and experiencing new countries, beaches, regions and historical landmarks. This was the first time ever that we agreed that we would want to come back to the same resort for a second visit.
