Our stay at the Royalton was a horrible experience. The hotel was still under a lot of construction and we did not receive a Diamond Club service. As a matter of fact the Diamond Club (separate section on the resort) was not even open. We took pictures of all the machines and construction in our path. Upon check in, it took us 3 hours to get a room and they put us in a regular Royalton building with zero upgrades. There were no perks at all. Not all the Restaurants were open either. We paid for access to those as well. Our choices for dinner were very limited. We ate at the buffet most nights. I refuse to pay for a Diamond Club service especially when it was not provided. Hence the reason for this review. How can you advertise something and charge folks in the interim on something you cannot provide? Worst experience ever and we travel a lot. It was a complete waste of money and vacation time. As per our last conversation with cheap Caribbean, we were told that the resort was fully completed and ready for us. They were far from that stage. We've always trusted and used Cheap Caribbean for our vacations and we would certainly hate to end this relationship. We have contacted cheap Caribbean the moment we returned home. It has been 1 week and still waiting for a response from upper management. Funny how they immediately respond when they want your money, and now that a complaint is filed, you can't hear back from anyone. Hopefully they do the right thing before we have to seek legal advice.
