Royal Playa del Carmen Reviews

My husband and I have visited The Royal two times and each time have had a wonderful vacation. Through Cheap Caribbean we were able to get great deals which we would not have received on our own. Love that you can pick out your suite ahead of time!

We really enjoyed the stay. We could have done without the sales pitch which we avoided. It was perfect for the get away without the kids that we were looking for. We had a great time.

Our trip in August of 2009 was our fifth trip to Mexico in six years and our first time to return to a resort we had been at before. We were impressed with the facilities and the service the first trip and decided to try this resort again just as a test. Well, they passed! Service was just as good and staff just as friendly as before.But what really sealed the deal was a waiter that served us on the previous trip the year before remembered our names. Thats impressive. Congratulations on a great job. We will return!

We had the best time here. We can not wait to go back my husband and I went for our anniversary. It had the best food and the room was amazing. We are afraid to go anywhere else because we know we will be disappointed this place was so great.

The Royal Playa DeCarmen was great.. The service was outstanding they couldn't do enough for you. The accomendations were beautiful and there were no negative suprises. Food was always availble and of unbelievable quality. Can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at a few resorts in Playa del Carmen and love everything about The Royal. The location being so close to 5th Avenue is a bonus. I always recommend this area to people who are considering Mexico because it is very safe and you can actually leave the resort!! The rooms and service, even room service was amazing! The fact that you did not have to make reservations at any of the resteraunts is very convienient. You do get locals walking the beach which I wasn't really used to. Some may not like that but it gives you a bit of culture. The water in the pool was (absolutly freezing) very refreshing. Don't go to the welcome breakfast on your first morning unless you are interested in Time Share. We are planning another trip to The Royal this year.

We were wanting for nothing everything was top shelf and the staff was behond expectations. We will be booking again soon.

I loved the Roayl Playa Del Carmen. The only thing I would change would be to have Tecate Light Beer on Tap....The can beer was not very cold. Other than that I'm looking at coming back for another trip next year.

Staying at the Royal was a treat. We have stayed at Sandals resorts before and the Royal is definately on par. You can not beat the location in Playa del Carmen as you can walk to bus stations to get around town. You will pay a premium to stay here compared to other resorts, however if you want to experience playa del carmen get to the ruins or adventure you cannot beat the location. The resorts in Playacar are out of the way and other resorts away from Playa del Carmen leave you likely staying in the resort.

This was a great hotel. The rooms were beautiful and always clean. It was located in a very convenient location unlike some of the other resorts. It was secluded enough that it felt private but it was just a short walk away from a bunch of shopping. The food was great and there was always a variety. I would recommend this to anyone vacationing in the area.
