Great resort.. clean, comfortable rooms, good beds, cable tv works, warm shower water, excellent choices at the buffet restaurant, especially for vegetarians. Ocean is calm, warm, great for swimming. Wear swim shoes cause there are small rocks getting in the water. Love the long beach.. no monstrous resorts around. True paradise. Rented jet ski.. We were the only ones on the water. Service us excellent.. Very friendly, gentle people. Buy souvenirs.. support families. Hidden gem.. hope it stays this way.
It was my first time in Haiti and I have to admit I didn't know what to expect. As soon as we got to the resort all my worries disappeared. The facilities are impeccable, the staff is really friendly, the food is AMAZING and the beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (and I was born and raised in an island). It's a long drive from the airport to the resort, and I recommend booking the airport transfer directly with them instead of taking a taxi or renting a car, unless you've drove in Haiti before. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I was only there for 3 nights and was not ready to leave.
The resort is beautiful, but, you have to drive an hour and a half to get there. The ride is not pleasant, you have to pass through a lot of poverty (if you land in Port Au Prince). When you get to the gate you have to know your room number. The staff are amazing, they are so polite and helpful, but their English is very limited. There are lizards everywhere at night. The doors in the room have a reasonable space on the ground so its easy for lizards to crawl into the room. The rooms are small, but clean. Food is amazing. Beaches are great and pool is awesome. If you are staying in your room and don't want cleaning services they will send someone to do "inventory".
