Hmmmm.. where to start?!? We had the worst room in the place! Above the kitchen and next to the coffee bar. We were awaken early every morning by the noise of clanking dishes and or slamming cupboards. The last morning we were there, they were drilling a tile outside our door at 5a.m.! Classy! We asked to switch rooms several times, but the front desk made it seem like it was to much work for them. Then there's the army of ants we passed on the stairs to and from our room... Several meals it was hard to get ice water and or coffee, so we just got it ourselves.. but the servers were on top of things at their resort next door. The weather was perfect and they do have a very nice beach.... but the people who work there make you feel like you're bothering them. We will not suggest this resort to others or ever go back ourselves.
We were there at end of April (4 seniors) and enjoyed the quiet laid back vibe. We have stayed at the old hotel next door and were happy to use the beaches over there for snorkeling. The drs cave beach is next to the hotel as well. The food is a vast improvement over the old hotel. They keep everything fresh and refill as needed. It is not a huge all inclusive, don't expect a buffet for 500 rooms, but there are plenty of options. The wait staff and front desk were great. Bartenders as well. The nightly entertainment was good bands, singers and one night is aqua dancers in the pool which was beautiful. No elaborate big shows. Next door has more of a show and party. A great place for swimming and enjoying the view from your room. Great sunsets!
