WE had a wonderful vacation. The weather was great! The service was superior!!!
Had a wonderfull time!! I reccomend the site to everyone for booking travel, the value was remarkable as was the resort that we stayed at. I wouldn't even consider booking a carribean vacation through anyone else!!
My husband and I visited this Hotel in April, 2010. The resort was very impressive and spotless. Our room was beautifully furnished and the beds were comfortable. I had a massage and it was the best! The beach service was excellent! We never had an empty glass or lacked for snacks. My husband found many conch shells while walking along the beach. The food options and preparation was good. Playa del Carmen is just a short walk. From there we made the 45 minute trip across to Cosumel. We will probably try a different country for our next vacation, but wouldn't hesitate to return to this resort if in Playa del Carmen.
This was a great value for what we paid and what we received. We came here for our honeymoon---ultimately we decided on this all-inclusive resort because we did not want to have to THINK after all the wedding craziness! And Riu Palace delivered. There were options for various activities but we could also just as easily choose to do our own thing (which is what we did). The choose-your-own restaurant experience was good because I think we may have gotten tired of the buffet for all our meals. The staff was very friendly. Overall, a great value and great experience.
We stayed at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya for 7 days and 7 nights. The Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice, the swimming pools are great, and the beach is wonderful. The staff at the Riu Palace is exceptional. Playa Del Carmen is a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride for $5. PLenty of bars and great food in Playa Del Carmen. The ferry to Cozumel is in Playa Del Carmen, I would highly recommend a day in Cozeumel. We booked our Travel through cheapcaribbean.com and have nothing but good things to say, from their professionalim, attention to detail and best prices.
The RIU Palace was a great place, it was like being on a Cruise Ship, but you have the beach and the town to go to. All inclusive, all food, cocktails were free, of course you need to tip if you want good service.
This trip was a mother/daughter vacation and we have never had so much fun. Great food, wonderful beach, beautiful resort, friendly staff, and great weather. We traveled the day after Thanksgiving and stayed 5 days. It was abolutley wonderful. This is the fourth time that I've booked through Cheap Caribbean and I have been totally satisfied every time. The third Riu Resort that I've stayed at and the accommodations have been wonderful every time. I would recommend it to anywone wanting to go relax in a wonderful tropical scenery.
I don't know what else you could ask for. The staff was great. Any time you sat down, on the beach,by the pool,by the restaurants, there was someone asking if you would like a drink. The food was good, only complaint is that it is easy to over eat! The best bar was the martini lounge bar near the lobby - top-shelf liquor and a great place for a pre-dinner drink and people-watching. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Grounds are lovely and well-kept, and the size of the resort was just right, not too big to get around easily. Definitely would go there again.
We had an extremely luxurious vacation. ONLY downfall was the work they were doing on the beach at the time. Have learned to phone ANY resort a head of time to see if any construction is going on anywhere on the property! Many food choices, rooms were beautiful, people were helpful.
Very nice resort. Food was very good. Rooms were very average. Service was average for Playacar. Beach was very good but somewhat crowded. No bottled water available at beach bar. Lots of walking required which could be a negative for some older persons.
