Nassau Palm Hotel Reviews

The pictures of the resort were better than the actual resort. It wasn't much of a deal once the taxes and service fees were added.

Overall there were only two things about the Nassau Palm Hotel that I was dissatisfied with: Firstly, it listed on the website that they have a whirlpool, and there is a picture of it online where it appears to be one, and it is shown with/attached to the pool. When we got there I asked why it was cold and was told it was a kiddie pool. I was really hoping to enjoy the whirlpool because some of the days we were there it was in the 60's. Unless I was wrong perhaps about what a "whirlpool" is, however I think one is safe to assume that "whirlpool" denotes hot tub, am I right? Also, yes continental breakfast was provided, which was great, but otherwise if one is hungry, the hotel does not have a restaurant or provide any other food, one has to walk into town. Town is about a 5-10 minute walk, so it is not far, however sometimes at night and what not, one does not want to have to walk to get food. Otherwise the experience was positive, the staff was quite helpful and accommodating, and our view of the beach across the street was great. We were close to everything and could easily access Junkanoo Beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! this hotel looks like it has needed a refurbish for decades.it is very dirty, and smelly. Not to mention the black mold that is every where. The small pool has a leak and algae and mold has been growing there unchecked for some time. The gym is in a section of the hotel that appears to have been abandoned years ago and all the equipment is covered in dust.The large pool was constantly filthy,even though know one used it!. We where never given a tour of the resort and we had to find everything ourselves. The room was very shabby and smelled of mold and mildew. we where on the 5th floor and the only opening was the sliding door over the pool area. this door was broken and filthy when I opened it up it almost feel out on to the patio!. we are awaiting a refund for our vacation we arrived Friday nite and we fled the island by Saturday morning. the area is bad as well wild dogs roam free, vagrants and drunks are everywhere., The hotels in the area use BARBED WIRE!!. needless to say we had to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the privilege of ending our vacation early. we have uploaded pics of the hotel. pool and general filth.
