Well worth the trip.

This resort was perfect for what my new bride and I were looking for. It was low key and not a night life spot. All of the employees were more than willing to help you with any matter. The water right off the beach was a little murky, but a mere 2 minute walk provided clear water, fish and coral. The food was great and the drinks were strong. Nightly piano entertainment during happy hour was the perfect way to set the mood for most evenings there. If you are looking for a low key resort where you can relax by a quiet beach than this place is for you.

Melia was Wonderful

Wonderful staff, food, beach, and snorkeling (when you walk a ways down the beach and let the current take you back to the Melia). My husband and I stayed at the Melia for our Honeymoon and loved it! There was so much to do in town and at the resort (entertainment at night through the resort was so fun). The all inclusive was wonderful, its the way to go and well worth it. If we go back to Cozumel we will stay at the Melia!!

A bit of Paradise

My husband and I recently took advantage of the amazing deal offered for the all-inclusive Melia Cozumel vacation and had an amazing time! It was even better than we expected. Of course you can read the negative reviews and get worried, but if you are happy to get away at a fair price, this place is wonderful. We met people that have been going every year for the last 12 years, and we plan to be repeat customers as well! The resort is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the drinks are amazing (try a dirty monkey:)), and overall it was a great time. I read reviews of the rooms being damp and musty, and they are to an extent, only because it is really hot outside and the air conditioning has to work so hard! If you want your swim suit to dry out, sit it on your balcony. And my honest opinion, I didn't go there to spend time in my room...so I could really care less about that. They are clean and the bathrooms are gorgeous! I spent all of about 1 hour awake in the room and it was perfect. I came to Melia to experience the beach and atmosphere, not hang out in a room! The snack bar has the greatest burgers I've ever had! Chips and guac...YUM! The breakfast was always outstanding! Sometimes dinner options weren't exactly what I would want to eat, but it was always good and filling! Just left more drinking room I guess! Very family friendly, but also perfect for the couples that want to relax. Melia is very laid back and quiet during the day, perfect to relax. Take advantage of what they offer and you will love it as we did!!

Awsome Trip!!!

Great bang for the buck! Fun place food was good & what's expected at an all inlusive, somthing for every one. Staff is helpfull & the resturant makes MUCH stronger drinks than the pool bar FYI. Great overall choice for a vacation though

Sorry to say......

Sorry to say was let down with this resort.Loved the people dislike the resort. Did'nt have all the extra's that are advertised for things to do.Diffentily not a place to take the kid's.North end of the island very windy and the beach area not the cleanest. The aea in the was is always covered by sea weed so the water looks like the mississippi river.Down the beach at the next resort totaly clear. But if your only planning on drinking by the pool and plan on going into town for the night life .... well then i guess it's ok.Personally i'd stay at the other place's we have stayed in cozumel before going here again. Unless i was giv'in a free trip there ,then maybe and only maybe would i go back there. For a 7 day stay.... i moved us out to anther resort after day 4.... ya another resort all 6 of us . But again the people working there ....GREAT folks !!!!!!!!!!

see the water color.... not the greatest beach....
