Watch OUT

This was My First time going thru this site, and I have mixed feelings about It in the future. 1st the photos of the resort do not match current conditions of the resort. The rooms have mold , and the resort as a whole needs a lot of maintanence. They should warn you about the timeshare vulture people in the airport when you arrive who try to trick you into going with them . Also we paid $50.00 for round trip transportation to and FRO the airport how nice of cheap Carribean to offer that, however it only cost $ 8.00 round trip by taxi to the resort hmmm..... The food at the resort is fair and the drinks weak. If it wasn't for the staff this place would be closed, many people we met they stated the same thing they come back just for the people. Then those black birds were disgusting. They ate the sugar, they ate the food, they sat at the buffet. Did you know when they land and take off, they drop their waste, how much of the waste stayed in the food. Then the fruit was infested with fruit flys.

Cancun was better

I probably wouldn't go back to Puerta Vallarta or the Krsystal Resort. I didn't feel welcome and my tips were unappreciated. I felt we were discriminated against. When we first got there it seemed they were all about us, but as the trip went on..not so much. Our room was OK...the pillows were horrible and the air conditioning wasn't that great. The water was cold in the shower. We didn't receive enough towels and we called several times to get our safe unlocked. It wasn't a very clean resort. There were dishes and cups outside in the hallway that sat there the whole time we were there. The bar area smelled very bad. I noticed at the end of our trip that they weren't washing the cups they reuse for the drinks at the bar. They were just rinsing them and not that well. It really grossed me out. I thought about all the cups I drank out of and the plates and silverware I ate off of. I received incorrect drinks numerous times, instead of vodka I would get tequila and when I told them they would take a straw and try it as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Only one bartender working during the day and it was really busy. The bar wasn't open past 8 pm unless you went to the dinner that they set up by the pool area, and you couldn't just order drinks from the bar and walk around they told us we had to sit down at the tables. Too many vendors on the beach, the same vendors would come up to you 15 times or so after already telling them no thank you. We would be in the middle of a conversation and they would interrupt you asking if you wanted something and after telling them no thank you they would still insist that you look at their stuff.

needs improvement

The bed was huge, ok in comfort. There was NO HOT WATER in the room at all. So cold showers for 4 days was not good, especially since it was our honeymoon. The a/c was on coldest setting full blast but it was only moldy chilled. The beach was great except being harassed to buy things. Pools were great. Food was good. BARS CLOSED AT 11 PM. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!

Not the vacation of a lifetime

We just got back from Krystal. Although it was not terrible, I would not go back to this resort. The nice things about this resort are as follows.....the staff were very friendly, the room was big, the drinks were decent, the pool was nice, the beach was clean. It had easy access to the busses that would take us into town pretty cheap. There are a lot of places nearby you can walk to like a Walmart, Sams club and grocery stores. Taco place right across the street was amazing. The not so nice......showers were barely warm, there were only 2 real pools and one was shaded most of the day. They did have some hot tubs all grouped together but they were Luke warm at best. The wifi was very limited, there were only 2 bars that we found and one closed at 7p. The buffet for meals was never hot, only hot thing I ate there was the omelette for breakfast and a few other things that they made as you ordered. The food was good just not warm. The two restaurants that came with the all inclusive were decent. Really enjoyed the Italian. Japanese was buffet style and it was average. Many fountains around the resort and only a few of them were ever on. There was a sports bar that we wanted to go to to try tacos but it was never open when we went by. Overall, we had a great time but I don't think I will ever go back to that resort.

BETTER THAN THE PICTURES

KRYSTAL VALLARTA IN PUERTO VALLARTA WAS AMAZING! The food buffet selection they had for breakfast/lunch/dinner was on point. Different varieties and I traveled with a PICKY EATER that found something to eat at all times of the day. The mini appetizer buffet that was out during inbetween meal hours was decent and typical nothing fancy. Italin restuarant thats part of the all inclusive was decent as well. Mexican Fiesta Tuesday dinner/show was AWESOME with an authetic floklorico show that was amazing to view and a mexican variety buffet. The Hotel is very close (10mn taxi drive) to the old town of MALECON which is filled with little shops for great and traditional souveniers and NIGHT TIME PARTY LIFE A bit pricey but FUN!!! Hotel also close (10 mns walking) to the Marina board walk where we aboarded for our all day Marieta excusion which was superb. Service is great, bus boys, cooks, bartenders all friendly and energetic WORTH leaving tips. House keeping very good clean rooms at all times WIFI IS NOT GREAT IN THE ROOMS but great at the lobby, restuarants, and pool side! Lots of men/women selling cute souveniers around the resort so if you don't like to leave the resort you don't have to, horse back riding, parasailing, and jet skis also available right behind the resort! Beautiful ocean view for sunrise/sunset! I RECOMMEND TO BUY EXCURSIONS ONLINE versus waiting for last minute (cheaper online). No complaints at all of this hotel or service I would defininetly go again!

I was really disappointed by the rooms, there were miserable, i hated the bathrooms. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I paid for all inclusive and the food was distasteful. We ate all our meals outside the resort. I dont think i will ever pay for all inclusive again. Beach & pools however was great.
