Our first trip with Cheap Caribbean was to Jolly Beach. Our flights to and from Antigua were great. We were picked up at the airport within minutes and taken to Jolly Beach. Upon arrival, we were greated with a punch and went to check out the grounds and have lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. Our room was very nice. It was not a large room, but very nice and clean and with a beautiful view of the ocean. During our stay the food was very good. We espically liked eating lunch at Hemispheres, the buffet dining. The food was very good and always something different. I really enjoyed the champaigne. It was a nice treat. We also ate at Lydia's and the seafood and atmosphere were simply the best. Our favorite though was Bocciolo, the italian restaurant. The food and service was the best we have had at any of the all inclusives that we have been to. Very good. Utsav was also good. The people who work at Jolly Beach could not be nicer. They would go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We have not had such friendly service anywhere. The beach is the best on the island with gorgeous sunsets. The two pools are great, one being where all the action is and the other a nice quiet pool. We went on a cruise around the island and it was very much worth the price. To see the whole island from the water and the beautiful homes and other resorts was awsome. We also rented a car and traveled to Shelly Beach and English Harbour. This was one of the nicest vacations we have had. What made it so nice was the great service from Cheap Caribbean, the friendly people at Jolly Beach and the beautiful island of Antigua.
Although Antigua is a beautiful island, Jolly Beach is in desperate need of renovation. Additionally, their buffet is extremely limited. Each buffet had chicken as one of its entrees and there was never much choice. I was appalled to find no name brand liquor, although the Italian restaurant had it but you had to pay extra for it. I thought this was all-inclusive? I expect to pay for bottled wine or lobster, but liquor? We had mini fridge in the room which was not stocked. Every other all-inclusive I've been to at least provided water and soft drinks, some provided beer. I enjoyed Antigua's beaches, restaurants (off the resort) and sightseeing and would like to return, but not to the Jolly Beach Resort.
super friendly staff, good selection of sporty activities, food selection and quality excellent, we had an awesome time at jolly beach and would definitely go back!
The resort was clean and everyone was friendly. The beach was awesome, except for the guy who kept bugging you to buy aloe from him. The a/c in our room didn't work, they tried to fix it every day, but never offered to change our room and they never got it fixed. There was plenty of food and drinks. Entertainment was ok. It was a very peaceful, relaxing trip. I highly recommend Antigua to anyone.
Jolly Beach resort was a fun filled place with non-stop things to do for adults and kids alike. I was totally satisfied with the activities, staff and beach of course. The Room accommodations lacked in my opinion. The air conditioning wasn't very powerful and the room was extremely small for two people with luggage for a 7 day trip. I did witness a wedding there and it was a beautifully put together ceremony. I enjoyed the restaurants more than the buffet.
The beach, pools, grounds and spa were wonderful. The food choices could have been better in the cafeteria and we found the beds to be very hard. The buildings and rooms could use some updating. There is a lot to do here at this resort. Antiqua is a beautiful island and the people there were very nice.
We twent with another couple and had a wonderful time! Jolly Beach Resort is all-inclusive and we had plenty of choices for food and drinks. The food was delicious and there was never a shortage. There is also 3 restuarants that you can make reservations in lieu of the buffet. The pool with the swim-up bar is very convenient. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive as was all the staff. I suggest using the taxi to and from the airport instead of the resort (cheaper) and use the taxi van on the resort to see if you can get a private tour of the area. We split the cost with other couples and got a true flavor of the culture since our driver was a local. He also gave us tips on where to go. I highly suggest that you stay at JB but do not think of a traditional hotel room in the USA. Air conditioning is fair to mediocre, rooms can be small and made of lots of concrete. We upgraded and it made the room larger. You are not in your room much, only to sleep and it was satisfactory.
This simple, elegant resort was absolutely perfect for our wedding getaway. We had an all-inclusive package, which was a simple room overlooking the gardens. The beach was quiet and perfect for swimming, sunning, and relaxing. Food served at the buffet far exceded our expectations, with lots of fresh fish selections daily. The restaurants on site we excellent, too. Make sure to reserve your dining upon arrival--making reservations even a day before your desired dining experience can be booked out. Overall, this was the best beach on the island. I have traveled all over the Caribbean and would go back to Jolly Beach in a heartbeat.
The resort was older the staff was very freindly, but the bed was as hard as sleeping on concrete. The pool closed at 6 pm, the beach was beautiful. The resort was very secure.
I chose here for my 25th wedding anniversary. Boy, oh boy was I glad I did. Champage and roses were waiting for me in my room. This place is awesome and everyone should go. It has it all, the splendor of the Caribbean. The food, drinks, people...beyond what I can say!
