We were fortunate enough to be invited to attend a wedding at the Parasio Lindo. We enjoyed a long weekend of relaxing on the beach and by the pool. Service was excellent and we enjoyed the night entertainment, too. Would definitely go back again, in fact many of the people we were with were there for the second time!
The Iberostar Paraiso Lindo is a beautiful resort. The pools are clean and huge with a lazy river, wave pool, tiki bar, waterfalls and more. The food is really good as well - Mexican night at the buffet is not to be missed! Yum-o. My husband and I suggest that people venture off the resort for an excursion or two. We did the Maya Adventure with Alltournatives and swam with the whale sharks; both highly recommended. Staff was courteous and friendly at all times. Remember to tip because they work long hours for relatively little pay. I feel comfortable recommending this all-inclusive to anyone.
We had a wonderful stay at the Pariaso Lindo. We were upgraded to a lovely suite with private pools available for the residents of these suites. We also were intitled to extra upgrades for dining. The room was beautiful, we spent most mornings at the private pool and went to the ocean or the big pool in the afternoon. We were planning to tour the entire area, but we enjoyed relaxing at the Paraiso Lindo so much, we never left the property@
This was by far the best vacation my family has taken. The hotel is beautiful, the entire staff is incredibly accommodating and very nice. All of the restaurants offered delicious meals, the pool area was not only entertaining but also very relaxing and the landscaping around the outside is breathtaking. I've told everyone what a great time we had and that I can't wait to go back to the same place again.
Very pretty hotel, had a wonderful layout. It is quite large, so we did a lot of walking.
My husband and I and our 2 kids (ages 6 and 3) just got back from the Lindo and we can't wait to go back. My daughter literally asks us everyday when we can go back! Playa Del Carmen has the most gorgeous beaches and the Lindo is so family friendly with its wave pool, lazy river, numerous pools, kids' theatre, kids' activities, and fabulous restaurants. We didn't want to leave! This is the best all inclusive out there. Next time, we're going to upgrade to the Maya because we need more room for the 4 of us, but the Lindo rooms were very good, too. We highly recommend it!
My wife and I red most of the reviews from most sites and got pretty much what we expected. We stayed at the Lindo and therefore got to share most of the other grounds amenities as a result. I mean the place was gorgeous and adventuresome with all the vegetation, interconnecting paths to stroll down, beautiful large pools, restaurants, bars, waterfalls, palapas, beach, entertainment, games, etc. etc. etc.... almost indescribable! I ordered special amenities for our 20th wedding anniversary and although they were not ready at check-in, the reception upgraded us to a Jr. Suite and got things ready quickly so all worked out even better than planned. We were even tempted to extend our stay and not go to the Cancun Hotel Zone the last three days of our 7 day stay in the area. In short, we were very dissaponted in the food quality with the exception of the El Rancho steak house in the adjoining Maya hotel. I have travelled throughout Mexico and the world for many years and Mexico has many excellent restaurants and food but this was not at all what I was used to. It's as if Iberostar spent all their money on the grounds and attracting middle aged parents and kids and figured they could skimp on the food and serve cafeteria style for the multitudes "bulk " passing through. We love all kinds of food from pastries, burgers, sushi, tampicana, steaks, pasta, etc. but we really had to pick and choose to put together an assortment that would satisfy us at both the buffets and other restaurants. The El Rancho steak house had the best salad/dessert buffet and best tasting steaks. In addition, although the beach was nice, the water was rough. We were told that from November through March it is rough and then calms down in April or May. As a result, we spent much of our time at the pools. We didn't even get to experience the giant pan of paella (made on the beach) that we saw in all the pictures from other travellers. The pools were cool but refreshing in the tropical sun. The hot tubs (whirl pools?) were not hot and this did seem strange. All in all very family and kid friendly but lacks a little for those of us that expect when you pay this much money for an all inclusive that the food would be at least somewhere near the grade of the rest of the resort's standards.
1. Beautiful grounds and location. 2. Great staff and food. 3. Beds were hard as a concrete block; very uncomfortable. 4. Great choices on food; and food was good at just about every spot we tried.. 5. The hot tubs were un heated so they were cold tubs. The water in pools were freezing; and when we jumped into the hot tubs to warm up; they were as cold as the pools. Overall; great service food and location; hard to make up for un enjoyable sleeping arrangements.
We absolutely LOVED this resort! It is the first all-inclusive that we will return to. My husband and I (in our early 30's) traveled with our two boys (ages 4 and 5) and couldn't get enough of the amenities. It wasn't just back and forth from the pool and beach all day, it was kids club activity, wave pool, then ice cream station, beach, big pool, swim up bar, lazy river, restaurants, etc. The night shows where they brought in professionals every other day were awesome. I saw the greatest magician ever and loved the Mayan dancers. The food was good. I liked the Japanese best. Food in Mexico is never incredible from my 6 experiences, but there's was good. I likes all of the buffets as well. The staff was very attentive but some could smile more. The grounds and buildings are STUNNING!!! It felt luxurious and I loved it!!
The Lindo resort was absolutely beautiful! It is meticulously cared for. The staff was so friendly and got people involved in many different activities. There were activities from 8 AM - 5 PM and then a show every night so you can be as busy as you want. There were plenty of places to lounge poolside or on the beach in either shade or sun. We had teenagers in our group and they had a great time on their own. The food is very good and the dinners are excellent! The shows at night are fantastic and great for the whole family to enjoy. We can't wait to go back!
