first time ever using cheap Caribbeanbut it was great everything just worked out fine the hotel was nice and the service was nice the food was great the rooms are very clean everything was the bestI just had tears in my eyes when I knew I had to leave that next morning.theytreated me like family
This hotel was excellent. The food was great and the service was awesome; for the employees are so helpful.
The location could not be better for travelers with rental car. Service is amazingly friendly and efficient. Room, beds all are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast foods selection is terrific including made-to-order eggs of any style. Dinner entries were perfectly prepared and presented. Half of the staff speak only Spanish, but someone always is nearby who speaks English and helps. Must have GPS to navigate roads in the city on way from Tocumen International Airport. The pool is very small and the hotel is far from beaches.
Hotel was very centrally located. Right across from Panal Canal, you can eat breakfast watching the ships come in. All of the excursions we booked were never very far to travel to. We were there the first of April which is supposed to be the start of there rainy season but it never rained, absolutely beautiful sunny and 90 with a lite breeze all week. The staff at the hotel were always more then helpful along with the local people that lived and worked there. I knew little to no Spanish but managed to get by with the helpfulness of everyone.
The hotel was nice. Its not a fancy hotel like all the other hotels around the vicinity. It was very simple. The room was good. The only problem I had was you had to put your room card in a slot for the lights and Ac to work. However, the service was good. The people were nice. Most of the workers knew how to speak English. Most of them didn't. So if you had to explain anything and your Spanish is not great like mine, you might have a problem with communication. The food was great, however, the dinner menu is the same every night. I actually wanted to see something different. Overall, the hotel was great and simple. They have good wifi service. My daughter enjoyed that part. If you dont want anything extravagant, this is the place. I had a great night sleep too as well.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Panama Canal for a week as part of a package deal. All of the front desk staff were very helpful and informative. Especially Edgar and Marlon, who explained what a fair price for a taxi should be to different locations around Panama City, and helped us with other things too. My wife and I speak almost no Spanish, but enough hotel staff spoke some English so language was not a problem. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good, especially the breakfast buffet, which we had almost every morning. We ate dinner there only once, and it too was good. We felt the prices were reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Our room was of a decent size and clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was very good. The housekeeping staff did their job well. The only negative is that some of the excursion companies will not come to this hotel to pick up and drop off their patrons. The one excursion we went on we had to take a taxi to a hotel in downtown Panama City to be picked up for the tour. The hotel does have a small pool but we didn't use it. The hotel does have a small washer and dryer which we used once. We only had to pay for the detergent. The dryer was not very efficient, perhaps because of its size and the number of clothes we put in. Overall, the price of this hotel was very good for everything we got.
