Excellence Punta Cana Reviews

I had a fantastic week at the Excellence resort! Aside from not being able to take advantage of the ocean due to extreme weather. I would highly recommend this resort to other travelers! The staff was very accomodating and the restaurants were terrific. The rooms were acceptable, except for the smell. I truly can't say enough positive about this resort. My girlfriend got married on the beach and everything was superb!!! Thank you cheapcaribbean.com for assisting me with my vacation, can't wait to do it again!!

My husband and I went to Excellence Punta Cana the last week in April and had a great time. The trip from the airport to the resort was quite lengthy but I was prepared for that from reading reviews about the place. The resort was lovely so it more than made up for it. For an all-inclusive, the food was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it!

The place is just incredible! Our room was amazing, the service was perfect... in fact, every day the person who stocked our room made it a point to provide champagne and huge Kit Kat bars because we told him that we liked them the first day.... just VERY nice people! Christian to pool waiter was fantastic and took care of us all week. We both caught a stomach bug even though we did not drink or use the tap water... must be in the ice or when washing the veggies. However, despite the bug, we had a blast. The pools are the best we've ever seen and the beach is huge with lots of places to sit/ lay. The property is so large we were able to stel away a number of times and just be alone in the pool or on the beac, which was really nice. The shows were really fun too. We got married there and had a terrific expeience. Our coordinator was really nice and did a great job. They made it really easy for us and provide a nice service. The photos were great too (although a bit expensive) . Keep one thing in mind... EVERYTHING that has a price there is negotiable... just make them an offer. We knocked $150 off our wedding photos. The resaurants were terific too... we had no problems at all and LOVED the mariachi bands serenading us every nigh. The only bad thing is the proximity to attractions on the island. The drive from the airport was a bit long (about an hour+ because we had to drop people at other resorts) and there is NOTHING anywhere near the property. All the excursions are full-day events because you have to drive 1,2 , or 3 hours each way to do them. Because of that and because the property was so amazing, we skipped all excursions and stayed at the resort and enjoyed every second of it with no regrets. Love this place! Overall, the place is the

The staff is really what makes this resort so wonderful. We heard from numerous other clients how the staff is very much the same year after year. They go out of their way to make your stay as wonderful as possible. There are a few minor problems with the resort such as the mustiness of the rooms but we would not hesitate to return again. I highly recommend Excellence.

I went on vacation alone for the first time last year. I chose the Excellence Resort in Punta Cana. At first I was very nervous about traveling alone. However, after my vacation, I can't imagine wanting to go to a resort with anyone but myself now. It was the most relaxing and peaceful experience that I have ever had. The resort really restored me and gave me balance. I enjoyed my trip so much that I have inspired my other girlfriends to go by themselves so that they could receive the same experience.

We arrived to find they had upgraded our room and were welcomed with champagne, fruit and a nice letter. Every member of the Excellence staff we encountered throughout the week was nothing less but helpful and kind. Rooms were clean, food was wonderful. We hope to return to Excellence Punta Cana one day and try another location in the future.

My daughter got married at the Excellence Punta Cana and this was the reason for the trip. She picked out the resort, so I had to go. I am so glad she did. It was beautiful. It was a fairy-tale experience. Everything was perfect; the room, the service, the pools, the food and even the weather. I wish she would get married once a year so I have to go back annually!

My wife and I chose this resort as our honeymoon destination, and we were not disappointed. Far from opulent, the Excellence Punta Cana manages to more than satisfy without luxurious or excessive glamour. It hit all the right notes (good drinks, decent food, great pools, clean and new buildings, and a terrific beach) and never tried to be more than it was. The reasonable price and it's basic offerings keeps this resort from being 5-star, but make it one of the best values to be found. The food was decent, and the drinks as fine as one should need. The staff was truly accomodating, and the facilites maintained well. The only negatives were insuffiecient air conditioning in the room, the occasional poor meal. The biggest negative was the distance from the airport. It is a lengthy drive. (And don't be surprised if your driver decides not to take roads. Sometimes they just drive through fields. I liked it. My wife, not so much....) I would recommend this establishment.

We had a faboulous week at Excellence Punta Cana at the end of December 2009. We loved all the restaurants, with the exception of the Italian place. I think the French and Steak places were our favorite. The pool was wonderful. The beach was beautiful- but at the time of year we were there it was too rough to be in the water. The service was incredible from EVERYONE!!!! Drinks and pizzas brought to you poolside- wonderful! The gardens were lovely, we had a fun excursion, although the coral reefs weren't much to look at, but the boat cruise on the Carribean side of the island was gorgeous. We went at the recommendation of my sister who went on her honeymoon and now we've got my sister-in-law booking her honeymoon there too. Highly recommended!

My wife and I visited the Excellence Resort in Punta Cana. I had heard from friends that the Excellence name is synonymous with, well, excellence. They could not have been more accurate. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with champagne and were able to upgrade our room for a small tip ($10)-not much for a few hundred dollar room upgrade. Tipping is important for better service and really to acknowledge that the people there, don't make much money relative to Americans, so a $1-$5 tip can go a long way. In terms of decor and quality of resort, it has to be considered 5 stars, many restaurants, though the best foods are served at dinner. I had never been to an all inclusive resort before, and thought that there would be items we would have to pay for, like certain drinks or food, but not...EVERYTHING was included. It goes without saying that if there's an Excellence Resort anywhere on my future travels, that's where I'll be staying.
