We were amazed at the beauty of Aruba. It was AMAZING!! While the hotel and grounds were clean, we didn't feel as if we were greeted in the manner in which we should have been. It would have been nice to have received notice of what was going on (in and around) the resort, etc. Upon check-in, we were made to give a credit card for security deposit, given a room key and escorted to our building. That's where the overall hospitality stopped. While in the lobby, we noticed other people checking in on different days and they received WAY more information about buses, tours, meet-and-greets, etc. than we did. By the time we found our schedule and got our wits about us, it was time to leave the island. Also, some of the material in the room is deceiving as to what is offered as far as customer service. For example, the info in the room states info about swim towel cards but upon questioning, this specific hotel doesn't offer that, we have to trade them in with housekeeping (when we see them). Overall, we had a nice vacation and plan to go back....but possibly another resort.
I was my first time to Aruba, and I would highly recommend Divi Dutch Villlage all inclusive if you are staying at the resort for everything night life all activities. If you do not drink and eat a lot I would still stay at the Divi Dutch Village and just pay air and hotel. The food was great also I even got a virgin Pina Colada and it was delicious. staffing was very friendly and pleasant The pool was clean and relaxing and the beach was marvelous clear blue waters. The resort was close to everything I actually walked to downtown and challenge myself to walk to the airport and back.very nice walk.
We stayed here in June of 2017. First of all I was going to give this "resort" 2 stars until our a/c went out the night before we left and had to spend the night in a 85 degree room sweltering! Called front desk only to be told there was no one available to look at a/c at 10pm. They weren't concerned with moving us and acted like it was no big deal! So now I'm giving a 1 star! Secondly, our room key kept malfunctioning every.single. Day. We were a good 2 blocks from main desk and had to make the treck on a daily basis to have them reprogram it!! Very annoying and never once was anyone apologetic! Our rooms were super clean, but very outdated! The a/c didn't work very well before it completely went out! I will say the food was very good! The Italian restaurant was superb! That's all the credit I'm giving this Place!! I will be back to Aruba but I will NOT be staying here!!!
There last week. Great place to stay. People couldn't be nicer! Beautiful room. Received an unexpected upgrade when we checked in! Pool opened out to pool! Beach was literally across the walkway. Gorgeous! The great thing about Divi Dutch is you have access to most Divi and Tamarajin resorts! So, you do not have to stay at your pool, you can go to any others! There is no restaurant at Divi Dutch, so you have to walk about 3 min to Tamarajin next door. There are walkways to everywhere and also "golf cart" rides available. They are like a golf cart with several seats and they take you anywhere on the properties you wish to go. We could not have asked for nicer/friendlier people. Pool was wonderful and not terribly busy. ALWAYS chairs available, relatively quiet. Loved it. We will return!
From the start we were created with smiles and offers of assistance. The one bedroom apartment we were in was nothing short of stunning, wuth a balcony overlooking the pool. Service was friendly, although a bit slow at times, but it didn't bother us since we were in no rush. The buffet leaves a lot to be desired, but the restaurant options were all delicious! I highly recommend PureLime and Ginger! Will definitely be returning!
I love aruba, the staff are extremely friendly and courteous. They have different restaurants for whatever your taste buds call for with the all inclusive purchase. Variety of pools. Beautiful beach view. I already booked to come back next year for memorial day weekend. SOUL BEACH.
I went with my 19 year old daughter for 5 nights, 6 days and although not nearly enough time it was just right to actually unwind and relax. The setting is fabulous, the all inclusive choice were also wonderful as were the cocktails! We loved every second & every minute of this trip. Everything went super smooth from the airline to the resort! I would recommend this to everyone!
Divi Dutch was a smaller resort with a very nice pool that has access to the other resorts by shuttle. We liked the quiet surroundings and very large room with couch, kitchen, dining table, and large patio. The Tamarin is next door in walking distance and had some very nice restaurants. We walked there each morning for large breakfast buffets. We also went there at night for entertainment and drinks. We also went to Divi Aruba All-Inclusive for dinner and entertainment. The Divi Dutch has a bar on the beach, but it was far from our room. We were close to a Tiki restaurant by our pool, but it was not part of all inclusive. We rented a car and kept beer and wine in our room. If you want closer access to all inclusive food and drink, you might want to book one of the other resorts. We enjoyed the quieter condo feel of the Divi Dutch and are planning to go back next year.
Overall a good experience but we there was construction going on during our stay and we were walking around it. It was not too loud and did not affect our sleep or comfort. Also the room description listed a private jacuzzi but there was not one. Most of our time was spent on the sister resort for food and drinks, which was a short walk.
