Great views! Fabulous poolside bar service.........a shout out to Joey, bar manager for an outstanding job! The beach area is rather small.......it is fine if there aren't many people, but during spring break, very crowded. The food is good.........we had both Sunday brunch and lunches there. Service on the property is great, and the security makes one feel comfortable without being imposing. Nice job, Hilton San Juan!
This place was beautiful. Will definitely stay here again. Recommend to all, single or family guest. Must stay in an ocean view room. Beautiful view of ocean.
Had a room on the top floor of the Conrad San Juan hotel, looking out to the water. The views were amazing - great for having a beer on the patio and watching the cruise ships sail off into the distance. The pools were great, especially the salt water pool. Good jumping off point to Old San Juan, and an easy drive to the east end of the island for hiking at El Yunque or kayaking in the bio-luminescent lagoon.
This is good for kids, in that it has a sheltered beach right at the property. The rooms are well-appointed and maid service excellent. My biggest complaint was the elevators, which were frequently (at least one of them at all times) out of service.
I used Cheap Carribean to book my stay in Puerto Rico last year around Labor Day. It was the best decision I could of possibly made! I chose the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza and loved it so much that I extended my stay for an extra night! I was picked up from the airport in style, my check in was smooth, the room was spectacular, and the grounds at Condado Plaza were beyond beautiful! The casino, restaurants, beach, pool, and lounges were worth the money, which was not expensive at all! The poolside bartender was terrific! I can't wait to go back VERY SOON!! ~Koko~
It was a pleasant stay at the resort. Awesome abiance, nice people, nice location. Defenitely recommended.
The Conrad Hotel was relatively close to many tourist destinations. We were within walking distance of many restaurants (both chain & mom and pop). At the concierge desk, we picked up a paper with the week's agenda.. we had the option to get pedicures by the pool, feed the fish at the lagoon, free ice cream, learn how to kayak, etc. There were so many things to do but our week long trip wasn't long enough. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and had fantastic views. I was in the corner room so I had views of the city, the pool area, the lagoon, and part of the ocean. The best part about that was the elevator right next to my door left me at the end of the lobby which lead right out to the pool! I had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back. Some advice.. The taxis are extremely expensive and the drivers will rip you off if they think they can get away with it. The ride from the airport to our hotel was $14. Going back to the airport to leave, we thought it would have been the same price, but this guy charged us $20. If you must take a taxi, ask before you get in so you know EXACTLY what you'll be paying for (Supposedly the taxi is the only way to get to The Conrad from the airport). My advice? Learn the bus routes! They are not hard to get the hang of at all. One way trips were a grand total of 75 cents as opposed to a $20 one way taxi ride. Google places before you go. Some of the activities listed on the hotel's "What To Do List" are overpriced. If we booked an excursion with the hotel, we would have paid around fifty something dollars for transportation, and a tour of the Bacardi Factory. I did some of my own sleuthing and found that the bus doesn't stop too far from the hotel.. We took the bus to pier 2 (75 cents), took the ferry to Catano island (50 cents), got on a bus to get to the Bacardi factory (75 cents) .. the Bacardi tour was FREE, we got tickets for 2 free bacardi drinks per person following the tour, and then paid for the bus, the ferry and the bus again to get back home. Let's do the math.. I paid $4.00.
We had a really good time with our stay at the Conrad. The hotel was beautiful and it was convenient to Old San Juan and other tourist attractions.
we were very cautious about booking online with a site we have never used before for our first trip. it was our honeymoon to be exact. we booked it because of the good reviews and it was sooo cheap. we looked for months before we booked and never found a deal as good. so we booked with cheap Caribbean. even after we booked we were skeptical about the deal. but we checked other places even after we booked and never seen a better deal. as for the destination the resort/hotel was amazing. stuff you see out of the movies!!! a little high priced once you get there but it was high class and 5 star the whole time. once you get out and around the prices drop and the island is amazing. the water is crystal clear and white sand. it was a great time, it was the perfect honeymoon!!! we WILL definitely use cheap Caribbean again that a promise!!!!!
For the price we paid I wasn't expecting much. But when we entered our room it was beautiful. The hotel was way better than we expected, with its private lagoon beach and the three pools. Only spent a little time in the Casino but it was nice and we won. Every morning we sat outside Starbucks which is attached to the hotel and had our coffee. The hotel was within walking distance to a lot of shops, and there was always a taxi to take you places at a minimal cost. We will be returning to Puerto Rico in the future and will definitely stay here again.
