The Comfort Suites Paradise Island was quite old and run down. The hallways smelled bad. There is a newer section of this hotel. Breakfast was a good value
We have stayed at the Comfort Suites (CS) Paradise Island several times. You stay here so that you can enjoy the Atlanitis. IMHO the location, privileges at Atlantis, and amenities of CS can't be beat for the price. CS has a free continental B'fast which is adequate, and ability to pay for a cooked to order B'fast, but no other meal options available. On site pool with bar is a nice option to unwind at end of a hectic day in the sun. What is best about bookiing through CheapCaribbean (CC) is that all of the extra daily maid and energy charges that CS tacks on are included in price you pay up front. CS told me only CC and one other travel site collect and pay these fees for you up front. I think the fees run over $17 a day per person (yikes!). This makes CC's price an even better deal when comparing to other travel booking sites.
I guess for the price I shouldn't have expected too much. The Comfort Suites were not exactly new.... musty carpet, creaking floor and peeling paint. However the employees were very nice and accomodating. There was a bit of a mix up when I checked in resulting in me carrying my heavy bag up the stairs, (no elevator), and down a long hallway only to find that the room I was given was already occupied. I don't know who was more embarassed me, or the poor couple that I walked in on! The wrist band that you are issued that allows you access to the Paradise Inn pool attractions is somewhat limited and you do feel a bit like a second class citizen when there. Overall, for the price, I did have fun and enjoyed meeting new people. After all, life is what you make of it.
I stayed at the CS Paradise Island in April for five nights with a girlfriend; I am going back in August with my husband! We chose to stay here because it was SO cheap compared to Atlantis, and included free breakfast and all access to Atlantis. No matter where you are staying at Atlantis, there is walking involved. We had absolutely no problems with the five minute walk through the marina village every morning to get to Atlantis. It was actually really nice to wander through those shops/starbucks/etc every morning, and to hear music on our way home at night. That being said, the hotel smelled AWFUL and the layout was really really strange - lots of weird hallways and you can only access the fourth floor from one side of the hotel. the room was fine, nothing extraordinary, but comfortable, and great to have a fridge. but really - we packed bags every morning (snacks from breakfast and the fridge, alcohol/soda, etc.) and went to atlantis until 5 or 6, came back, showered/napped then went back over to atlantis for dinner/fun. we didn't spend too much time in the room. basically, I am going back in August with my husband because I wanted to be able to spend a week at Atlantis but couldn't afford to actually do that at Atlantis! we don't plan on spending too much time in the room. I wish I had the money to go stay at the cove for a week, but I'd rather have a longer time on vacation and stay at a mediocre hotel than only get three nights at the actual Atlantis. It was really no different for us - we loved the price and convenience of comfort suites. if you can afford it, though, stay at atlantis!
We stayed here to take advantage of the Atlantis Resort. The Atlantis Resort is simply fantastic and since the Comfort Suites is next door it made things very easy. I would say this is your average Comfort Suites - nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Wonderful and affordable place to say on your vacation to Paradise Island.
Thought the price was too good to be true, called several times to confirm and everyone was extremly well informed. Absolutely will go back next year. Having access to the Atlantis was key to the vacation!
We stayed at the Comfort Inn Suites at Paradise Island which is literally right across the Atlantis. What could be better than paying less and being able to use all the amenities at Atlantis. Comfort Inn was comfortable and service way okay. But who's really looking for excellent service when most of your time is at Atlantis???... Well worth the trip. CheapCarribean.com is the way to go!
comfort suites - is very close to Atlantis - that's the best of it. breakfast is not tasty, rooms are below average. nothing special... but you can use all atlantis facilities for free.
We stayed at the Comfort Inn as opposed to staying at the much higher priced Atlantis. We had stayed at the Atlantis before and it was fabulous. This time, having others for a wedding party, we decided to go a little cheaper for all involved and stay at the Comfort Inn. It was fantastic. All the ammenities of the Atlantis, a short walk across the street, which you walk all the time anyway. The rooms were very clean. Our daughter and her husband to be had two small children and needed to change rooms. No problem, they were accomodated to the ground floor near the pool so they could go out and we could sit outside the pool area and play cards. Security was always around, good to know, yet never bothered us, very friendly. The front desk was exceptional in our requests. The breakfast bar was also very satisfying. Having two locations is a big bonus as the interior one got crowded. The pool was well kept, and we met some great people who also came from our hometown actually on the same schedule, in and out. We have absolutely no complaints, would definately stay there again. A wonderful time and great pictures to show for it. Thanks for the hospitality.
Staying at the Comfort Suites was well worth the price. With a decent breakfast included (you dont get that at Atlantis!), and a nice walk to the Atlantis (to help keep the pounds off), I would definately stay there again. I would also recommend the Comfort Suites to anyone on a budget (especially families). Their pool & pool bar are also a great hangout. I cant wait to visit again!
