Great property -- not beachfront, but only a short walk away on a sandy path. This is a great budget option. The hotel restaurant was very reasonably priced and had excellent blackened tilapia dishes that I had 3 times during our stay! It definitely wasn't as "lively" as many hotel restaurants/bars though... perhaps because we were there during off season. The weekly "luau" seemed way overpriced and not worth the entertainment. I highly recommend taking the trip to Sunshine Suites for the best fish tacos on the island. Hotel service was excellent -- clean rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of space and very convenient to have a kitchenette/fridge in the room. Phone calls are not free, but there is free wireless in the rooms (and a free computer in the lobby) so we were able to call the US using Skype on my iPhone. Highly recommended for budget travelers who are looking for a clean/comfy place to sleep that's close to the beach. We saved enough money here to go on an extra night dive and it was totally worth it!
We stayed at the Comfort Suites on Seven Mile Beach as a family of five (2 adults and 3 children under the age of 10) and it provided a good value. Nice continental breakfast area and the pool was was private and just a few feet from the back door. Hotel wasn't beach front however a very short foot path led to the beach. (Note: Foot path was a shorter walk than some beach front properties) A new hotel/condominium was being constructed between the Comfort Suites and the ocean (thus the need for the foot path) Hotel located on the main road with a 5 minute drive to Georgetown and near many restaurants and shopping. I suggest renting a car.
My husband and I purchased a vacation package though Cheap Carribean.Com and we are very pleased with our choice to do so. The customer service online and on the telephone was excellent. We booked a total package to Comfort Suites and Resort in Grand Cayman and had an amazing time. The Stay at Comfort Suites was nice. They offered some neat activities to do while on Island if you like being in the water, and it had a good breakfast buffet. We didn't mind that is wasn't a bigger resort because we spent most of our time playing around on the island. Overall it was an excellent value for the money we spent and the awesome time we had. I would not hesitate to recommend Cheap Carribean.Com to anyone considering purchasing through their site!
We booked last minute through Cheap Caribbean.com for our 32 wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful flight, we were met promptly at the airport and loved the location of the Comfort Suites. The beach was clean and well maintained, the pool area was nice with plenty of shade and the hotel service was good. There was only one outdoor restaurant which was very causual, but the food was good, and there was access to other restaurants close by. We had a marvelous time, our only dissappointment was not getting a tour of the CayBrew Brewery, so I guess we will have to go back.
What a great place to stay on a very expensive island! Convenient to everything downtown offers, but still right at Seven Mile Beach. The room was the perfect size with a small kitchenette to store leftovers or that island rum for cocktails. The beach was just a short walk and was very quiet. Only a few minutes away from downtown and all of the restaurants; it was a perfect "home base" for our week in Grand Cayman.
We stayed 10 days at the Comfort Suites in Jan 2011. The entire staff was very friendly and always willing to assist you with whatever you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you would expect for the price. It's also in a great location. We would definitly stay there again if we ever went back.
The Comfort Suites suited our needs perfectly. The room was spacious enough and clean. The free breakfast was an amazing deal- perfect for us because we were getting up early to dive every morning, so it was very convenient. The breakfast and cleaning staff were very friendly. The front desk staff was pretty standoffish and not welcoming, but not rude. We did see a lot of little bugs in the kitchen area, but we did not complain because we didn't want them to spray. We didn't mind because we weren't cooking, but all food had to be sealed tightly. The location on 7 mile beach was great. There were several great restaurants within walking distance. We recommend Triple Crown Pub and Coconut Joes. The two downsides would be that it is not on the beach, and no patios. A patio would have been really nice. The pool area was nice enough and never very crowded. There were only a few beach chairs on the beach and the Marriott will kick you out of their chairs. We would stay there again and would recommend it to our friends.
Feb.4 to Feb.13 enjoyed an Anniversary trip. The breakfast and free fast internet is a great bonus. Junior stuite was spacious, two double beds, sofa bed, recliner, kitchenette, safe.(deposit) Clean room, daily, great service. Stinger's Bar/Restaurant on site, Tour hut on site, reasonable. Do go on a tour with Joe Tourist very personable. We did caves, blow holes, beaches, history, Rum Point, 10 Sails, and local visit. Snorkelling out front is good, beach incredible, water so clear. Take the bus/vans not taxis. U.S. money taken everywhere, no need to have Caymanian. Restaurants up and down the street, and great food in Georgetown. Check the Cruises in Port and avoid if three or more in. Usually gone by 5 anyways. Do go to Stingray sandbar,Dolphin,Rum Point and really do it all. Safe and comfortable, enjoyed every day to the fullest.
We stayed at the Comfort Suites for 5 nights April 19, 2011. It was a great value! This property had more than I would expect from a Comfort Suites brand. They had a dive shop, on site spa, and poolside restaurant and bar. It is a very short (30 second) walk to the beach along a path and the hotel provides beach chairs and beach towel. They have the usual free breakfast which includes hard boiled eggs and make it yourself waffles in addition to the usual continental breakfast. The snorkeling right out front of the beach is very good. I taught my daughters to snorkel here and we saw much sea life including stingrays right under us. It is very nice to have a full kitchen to prepare snacks and meals. We did eat out a lot but nice to have a night in. I will say the restaurant food is average and met expectations but there are many other great choices as well within walking distance. The only reason I marked anything down from a 5 level is that I am used to luxury resorts i.e. Four Seasons, Ritz, etc. and the service cannot be compared but for this price point, it exceeded expectations. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit the island.
WE WENT ON A DIVING TRIP TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS AND STAYED AT THE COMFORT SUITES. THE ROOM WERE VERY LARGE AND WE WERE ABLE TO PUT ALL OUR DIVING EQUIPMENT AND STILL HAVE ROOM TO SPARE
