I used the on site dive shop and was pleased. Lockers to store your gear in that could be used to store beach stuff as well. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Food was just average. Very happy with the value.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The beach is beautiful and stretches for miles of interesting walking and swimming. There are ample beach chairs and areas for shade. The food was good, although the lines for the specialty restaurants were sometimes long. The "house wine" was terrible and came from plastic jugs, so if you are a wine drinker, I would recommend buying it by the bottle. The rooms were basic, but quite large and comfortable with reliable air conditioning and a balcony. The resort is very popular with local residents on weekends and becomes quite busy, but we did not find it troublesome. There were guests from all over the world with many Europeans. There are beach vendors, which some people found irritating, but we found that if we said "no, gracias" they left us alone. We were able to get a direct flight from Boston, which is a beautiful thing! The resort is about 25 minutes from the airport. We arrived very early in the morning and were able to check into our room immediately for a nap before starting the day. Overall this was a great value for a relaxing beach vacation.

This place truly exceeded my expectations. Pool area was gorgeous and drinks/bars were easily accessible. Beach was gorgeous as well adn there were plenty of activities going on each day to keep you busy if you didn't want to just relax. If you were looking to relax then there were plenty of quiet places to go as well. Plenty of beach chairs, never had to wake up early to reserve a spot by the pool or on the beach. Coming from NY food never lives up to our standards but the food was good and we were blown away by how many different choices and how much food was put out every day. I would definitely recommend this resort to friends and would definitely return for another visit.

I had a pretty good time at Oasis Canoa, but it's not a very nice resort. The rooms were bare, the bathtub didn't drain, the food wasn't very good, and there were only 2 places to eat. The staff wasn't very friendly, and the one excursion we went on was terrible. But, if you bring some good friends or family members, you can have a great time. The price was perfect.

My husband and I had a great time here. The food was very good. Although the room was below average.

While this place is beautiful and the service was great, our whole vacation was spoiled by the worst bed known to mankind. It was a cheap mattress to begin with, but it had definately seen better days. A complaint to the desk to fix the problem resulted in nothing. The room was clean and the people were great. The food was alright, but be sure you take Tabasco.

For those who like to stay in a smaller, yet elegant hotel, the Oasis Canoa is perfect. We were truly pampered with the outstanding service. The food was well-prepared, varied, and attractively presented. Even my daughter, the picky eater, was happy. We loved the pool, exercise room, and the wide, white-sand beach is absolutely magnificent. We like the serenity of the hotel, and yet it was close to restaurants, clubs, and all of the excitement anyone could want.

oasis canoa is aexcellent resort, it has a great ubication, ilove this resort, i visited three times already and i am thinking about come back again, because is not only the resort ,is also the personal they are very friendly you feel like you are are in the paradise, oasis canoa is just excellent !

We stayed in this resort in December 2008. Me and my husband love it. We would recommended other people to go there. We fell in love with Dominican Republic; the beaches, palm trees, people, white sand..... I love it, I love it, I love it !!! Service was excellent, food was very good. We are going back this december

FOR THE MONEY IT WAS A GOOD HOTEL. WISH FOOD CHOICES WERE BETTER BUT THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. ROOM COULD USE SOME UPGRADES. OVERALL WE ENJOYED OURSELVES AND WOULD GO AGAIN.
