Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe Reviews

This was our 2nd time staying at the Barcelo Maya Palace. The resort is beautiful, spotless, and nicely decorated. Staff is helpful and friendly. The pools are really lovely, very clean. Wonderful setting right on the ocean. Many excellent places to eat, wide variety of food choices. We were there in August 2009 and would love to return for a 3rd time!

I would highly recommend Barcelo Maya Palace to anyone. We went in June and it wasn't crowded, the pools and grounds were beautiful and it was very relaxing. The food was pretty good, not great, but probably some of the best all-inclusive food we have had. The beach was somewhat rocky in places, but that created great snorkeling. We travelled with our 1 and 7 year old and both of them had a great time. We would go back in a heartbeat.

My husband and I celebrated my 60 th birthday at Barcelo Maya Palace. It was one of the best all inclusives we have ever stayed at. We've stayed at 4 of the Cancun Palace resorts in Cancun and they were nice but did not compare to the Barcelo. This resort is so luxurious and beautiful. The choice of restaurants were fantastic. The beach has a magnificent coral reef and you can snokel right at the beach it's beautiful. There's no need to take a snokeling tour. But, all the tours are great!! We loved the zipline and repelling tour. Since we were celebrating my 60th we had a great time in the Disco and remember it's all inclusive!! The middle of May was a fabulous time to go not too hot and not many children. We can't wait to go back next year.

I just loved this resort. The beach is absolutely amazing. The pool side offers alot of space, and the wrap around bar there, is alot of fun. The food was outstanding, with wonderful restaurant atmosphere. I would love to go back.

Having the all inclusive deal is so convenient because you don't have to worry about carrying money when you're in your swimwear! My boyfriend and I had such a fabulous time at the Barcelo. Being at the Deluxe was definitely worth it since we were able to go to all the other Barcelo resorts/pools, but ours remained more private. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back here! It was such a relaxing and fun time...a true vacation!

I have returned to this wonderful place many times and will continue to do so as long as it remains as is. Beerly

Barcelo is a great vacation. Very relaxing, huge resort. It never feels crowded.

Barcelo Maya Palace is a wonderful place to vacation and relax. The beaches were beautiful and the pools were sparkling clean. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the restaurants. The people that worked the restaurants and the pool were friendly, kind and professional. The rooms were very nice, and the only thing I would mention to be considered is that the beds were very uncomfortable. The activites were numerous for both adults and children. If you get a chance do a water aerobics class, their instructors are fun and use some great music. The kids activities have something for everyone, my children were never bored. I was impressed by how diverse the hotel was with all that it offered. I would recommend the Barcelo Maya Palace to anyone because truly it has something for every kind of vacationer.

My husband and I stayed at Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe back in September 2008. While I have traveled to Riviera Maya before this was his first trip and he fell in love with Mexico and the Barcelo Maya Palace. From the start of our trip we were treated with kindness. We loved the ease of the buffet dining for brunch and even dinners. We went to a few specialty restaurants since it offers you full access to the entire Barcelo Maya complex. We started our mornings with a walk down the beach, played in the ocean, walked back enjoying a snack or drink as one of the beach restaurants or bars on the way back. We loved the expansive pools where you felt every person had their own space. The rooms were great and we enjoyed the spaciousness of the junior suite. The only 'downfall' was that the beach right in front of the palace is a bit rocky so bring water shoes.

Theres so much to say about this place. For the price we paid we actually thought they dropped us off at the wrong place. The resort was amazingly beautiful and the staff was continuosly working to maintain the place. the pools were great only wish the swim up bar was in the sun. its beaches were some of the nicest ive seen. the snorkeling was great got to see lots of sea turtles and fish and is protected by its own reef. our room was a bit of a walk to the pool and beach but well worth it for the luxury of a beautiful room, i can only wish mine bathroom at home was as nice. the food was pretty good as well along with the buffet but the only complaint was the better restuarants were always booked and wish i knew we had to book them prior to arriving. the only down side was the place was huge and to much to explore in the short time we were there and there wasnt a whole lot of night life but there was lots to do during the day. THis place was awesome. Best deal and vacation so far.
