"The stay at the resort was awesome! The best part was the staff...Inocercio (bar), Leidy (lobby & bar), Raquel and Leidy (concierge). These people went over and beyond for us." – Antmel

Beautiful pool,Terrible beach

Pros. This may be the nicest condo/pool we have stayed in, over the past 20+ yrs. of traveling. The pool was nearly empty all but 1 of 7 days, very relaxing. A very nice marina right at our fingertips( as our 14 yr. old loves to fish ). Close to the airport. A country like setting on the beach. Waiters very helpful. If you want peace and quiet, this is your place. Very relaxing. Nice walking after dinner . Hairo is the only concierge to see!!! Found some locals who taught my son how to fish DR style. I know, I know. We weren't supposed to be fishing, but give me a break he is 14. He could be doing a lot worse things. Cons. "The village" was void of any shops of any kind, unless you count their "mini mart" with $32.00 sunscreen. The village was surreal, as there were no people. The marina is NOT accessible, we were not allowed to go to the other side, unless guided on bicycle. We were told fishing is forbidden. The only beach worth going to, is by shuttle bus. The so called beach at the Village is tiny!!! We booked tours outside of "their tour operators", Each time we left and returned, it was if it was customs. I understand security, but when we travel our family loves to see the local culture. None of the DR resorts seem to want us to see how the locals live. It was almost impossible to get reservations at the sister restaurants.

A Nice Stay

Overall it was nice. The property is quite nice. Most of the staff is very friendly. I traveled alone, looking for a few days of rest and relaxation. Pros- Room was very nice. I had a suite with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. A bit much for just me, but very nice overall. Staff was for the most part friendly. No one bothered me and the pool waiters kept the drinks coming:) Staff walking around to say hello, but mostly left me alone-which is what I wanted. Pools were not too crowded and I was always able to find a chair to lounge by. Lobby bar was fun- mostly due to the bartender being very friendly and keeping the drinks flowing. Everyone was friendly and I had a great time chilling in the evening. Spa was nice-albeit a bit expensive. Pools were clean and big enough that I could participate in the fun when I wanted to, or move to another side and just relax. Cons- food was terrible. The main buffet was the mediocre on it's best day. My first night I ordered room service and it took over an hour and the food was ice cold. Flys in the main dining room were gross and annoying. The mini fridge was stocked with beer which was nice, but no bottle opener available. When I asked for one they sent a staff person (30 min later) to open the beer but he said he couldn't leave it and didn't have an extra one. Not sure how I'm supposed to drink the beer if I can't open it.. Not much in the way of entertainment-which was actually fine for me, but might be a disappointment for others. The resort is spread out, be prepared to do a lot of walking. I was told at check in that if I needed a cart to take me anywhere to call down. The two times I tried to get a cart I was told they were too busy. That was annoying. A few times I called the front to ask questions and the person answering the phone seemed annoyed and couldn't really answer my questions. Overall, I had a decent trip, but I wouldn't return to this particular resort.

My Amazing Vacation at Alsol Luxury Villiage

My trip to Alsol Luxury Village was absolutely amazing. Where do I begin. We arrived on July 19th on my daughter's 25th birthday for a 6 day trip. It was 4 of us. We secured (2) 2 Bedroom condos which included my daughter, her best friend and my son. Upon arrival to the resort we were treated like royalty. Shakera Shakera as the staff so lovingly called her was treated like a princess. I called ahead and spoke with Venicia in concierge and planned to have my daughter's room decorated and have a birthday cake to surprise her. Everything was outstanding! It could not have been planned more perfectly. She was amazed and oh so pleased. Now on to our arrival and stay. Our bell man Jaime, was nothing short of amazing. He catered to us during our entire stay and made certain we were able to get around the property. The other bell men Luis and Martin were there to assist us once Jaime left for the day. Outstanding as well. During our stay the staff was there for our every whim. Each day in the Mariners Buffet Breakfast we were greeted by name especially Shakera Shakera Lol. Cairo and Gregario were absolutely wonderful they greeted us each day with a smile and provided superb service. David made the best waffles and French toast that I've eaten in my life. During our afternoon and evening we were greeted and provided service like I have never experienced in my life. Pablo, Jorge, Amador, William, Freddy, Sweetie, Minnie Mouse and Sergio were amazing during our entire stay I can't express how wonderful, friendly and supportive each of these staff members were to us. I also can not forget the bartenders and hostess Inocencio, Jordany and Yurki. They were extremely nice, friendly, provided laughs and made incredible drinks. They provided so much entertainment during our entire trip. Last but not least Lebron. After all the food and drinks he was there to help us workout and provided one on one training when we needed it. I know this review my be long but I want to make sure everyone that I came in contact with at Alsol Luxury Village is recognized for the outstanding service they provided. The hotel is defiantly a 5 star resort. The well groomed, manicured property is outstanding, the updated, clean gorgeous spacious condos are so well maintained I could live there my entire life. The food, the drinks and the staff was outstanding. I have found the resort that will keep me coming back. If you plan on taking a trip to Punta Cana, I suggest you stay at Also luxury Village. This was my second stay in Punta Cana in a year. By far this was better than the first place I stayed last year. This resort is nothing short of amazing and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised if you select this resort. If I have not said it before this is a 5 star Resort and I could not be happier with my experience. I can truly say I did not meet one staff member that did not have a smile, worked extremely hard and provided superior customer service. What ever this resort is doing they need to provide a training class to all other resorts in the world. This by far is a World Class Resort with World Class staff members that treat their guest as Royalty... I give this resort A 5 ***** if I could give it more I truly would. My children and I were extremely pleased with our stay and did not want to leave. I am already planning my next vacation back to Punta Cana and I will be staying at Alsol Luxury Village.

Loving AlSol

This was the most awesome vacation ever. We had incredible food, the employees were the best and the room was like in a posh movie. We arrived and were served very fast, they had our bags at the room and gave us a tour of the estate/grounds. The drinks were not strong, but they were good and bottomless. The room was a villa, two rooms of style, natural stones and class. We had an awesome view of the Atlantic. There were 3 pools that were huge. Our 20+ daughter met great people and had a fantastic time, our 24+ daughter enjoyed the cuisine and drinks and party atmosphere. We all enjoyed some of the best food anywhere. We had steak, Italian food, Mexican food, burgers. They had something for all of us. Our last night they weren't serving steak, but we wanted some, the head waiter actually found some and made them for us without us even asking. We told him what we wanted, he said they weren't serving them that evening, so we were ready to order something else. He told us to hold off for a few minutes, and without us knowing called a few places, got steaks for us and made them as a surprise for us. I loved this place. The evenings were filled with fun and activities. The shows were incredibly entertaining. We even were able to sit in the pool at the in pool bar and order while talking to our new found friends. The waiters around the pools made sure you never needed a drink, they were so personal and friendly. I will come again and again.... We went on an ocean cruise to SAONA an island in the Caribbean and had a fantastic last day there.

Best Vacation EVER !!!

I had the best vacation ever! The resort is amazingly beautiful, well kept. All the staff is very friendly and will do anything to make you feel at home. I will certainly come back for another vacation. All of the AL SOL properties are beautiful and well maintained. Special regards to: Juanchy from the Bar by the main lobby, Richard from the Mariners Restaurant and Bienvenido from Room Service... And all of the other hostess, servers, concierges and front desk personnel for their great services!!!

Unsatisfied

- The only good point I have to highlight is the staff who was very helpful. - Not for allergic people, lots of mold in the room - No beach in front of the hotel, one must walk to get to it - Apparently, they run out of plastic glasses and chopsticks during dining time - Food presentation was not good. I tried to eat well during breakfast, because lunch and dinner was poor. - Artificial beach - Poor dining options, I lost weight while there - Not very good cleaning. Our blanket had mold on it. - Drinks weren't made with fresh fruit - No good social activities (just pool and beach mainly) - Management team is not opened to feedback (very reactive) - I'd rate this hotel as 3 stars and Tiara which is very close to it as 3.5 stars - I wouldn't recommend people to stay in those hotels. Go ahead and look for other options! We came back home one day before than what was planned because my boyfriend developed an allergy while there and couldn’t stay inside the room because of the mold smell.

AMAZING FAMILY VACATION!!

Our vacation was FIVE STAR from start to finish! The concierges were courteous and accommodating. Jonalisa handled the details of our dinner reservations and airport transfers, ensuring that we had absolutely no worries during our stay. Brandy and Cesar were top notch waiters and became fast friends! Mucho Excellente!! Diva, La Picky, and Batman made sure we had a fabulous time whether we were enjoying the pool, beach, or night life. Miguel made us feel at home at the Lobby bar. Raphael helped us find our way around the immense resort for the first day until we had our bearings. The beach was intimate and pristine and the Caribbean blue water was clear and as warm as a bath! There were NO vendors walking the beach trying to sell their goods. We loved spending time between Luxury Village and sister resort Tiara, next door. The walk provided great exercise and spectacular views of the incredible pools, breathtaking marina, and incredible Mediterranean style architecture. Although inter-resort transportation was always moments away, we chose to walk. The food and beverages were absolamente delicioso!! Our three bedroom villa was incredible and all five of us slept like babies in our comfortable beds. Our excursion to La Hoya Azul (The Blue Hole) was amazing!! THE PERFECT FAMILY VACATION! The people of the Dominican Republic are so welcoming and friendly! From start to finish this was by far more wonderful than we ever expected!

Great Time

The resort was great, not your typical all-inclusive resort but did not lack too many amenities. If you are looking for a beach, you do need to go to one of the sister resorts, Alsol Del Mar or Alsol Tiara. Alsol Tiara has a small beach, which seems to have been 'man-made'. These beaches are private to the resorts which was great. They also transport you daily to the beach in Juanillo, which is part of the Sancturay resort. Another great thing was that we went in April 2016 when lots of kids and people are on vacation but there wasn't much people-traffic on the resort. The rooms were great and are really setup as condos, this is what I meant by the resort not being one of the typical all-inclusives. But this is a positive since the rooms are really top-notch. One aspect I did not enjoy was having to sign a bill even though it was a zero bill and i had an all-inclusive package. However, this was their way of accounting for those without an all-inclusive package. Overall this was great resort and would go again.

Great Resort, Beautiful Room, Mostly Great Service

The room and resort were fantastic. It was a great trip. We ended up spending most of our time at the neighboring Alsol Tiara resort, which is included in the all-inclusive package and is just as easy to walk to as the Luxury Village amenities. The service from Alsol Tiara was spectacular. Angelo, Juan, and Henry were all fantastic, so look for them when you go. The guy running all the events by the Tiara pool went by the name Ice Cream and he was a riot. He knew our names after one introduction and made the pool area even more fun. The pools around the swim up bar is where we spent our days and it was great. That's on the Tiara side, as well. The pools on the Luxury side are a little hidden. We walked around to see a couple of them, but ultimately preferred Tiara. We generally ate on the Tiara side, too. The breakfast buffet was much better over there. We really enjoyed the beachfront cafe and the Japanese restaurant. The Mariner's buffet on the Luxury side wasn't very good for breakfast or dinner. The strangest part was dealing with room service if you want beer. We had 3 adults in our suite, but they would only allow us to order 4 beers at a time from room service. We weren't getting rowdy or loud, just trying to relax with a couple cold ones. It took 30-40 minutes to have 4 beers delivered, and then they were unhappy when we tried to order more. Room service actually refused to bring us more after we ordered 3 times. We wanted a few extra to have in the fridge so we didn't have to wait, but oh well. We went to the sports bar every night and didn't have any issues with the service. I'd go again in a heartbeat, though I'd consider staying at Tiara instead since that's where we spent all of our time. However, the 2bd suite was amazing.
